First Presbyterian Church is a group of people committed to loving and serving Jesus Christ together. We are drawn together by a belief that the Bible is God's trustworthy message to us, a message that demands our attention and addresses our deepest needs. It tells us that...

• God is the good and powerful creator of all things, including mankind.
• Evil and guilt have separated mankind from God.
• Jesus, the Son of God, died and returned to life to mend that separation.
• Those who trust in Jesus are forgiven by God, have new life from God, and will spend eternity with Him.
• Those who trust in Jesus should gather to praise God and to encourage and teach each other.

As part of our love and service for Jesus, we gather to worship Him every Sunday at 9:30 am. Following this worship service, refreshments are served in our Fellowship Hall. Then, at 11:00 am, Sunday School classes are offered for children, youth, and adults, in which we explore the Bible and the Christian faith.
     Aside from our Sunday School classes, other groups meet at various times to provide men, women, youth, and young adults with opportunities for fellowship and education. Also, several music groups rehearse regularly in preparation for worship services and other gatherings. Various special events bring all ages together, such as dinners, concerts, an annual Advent Workshop and a Christmas program presented to the public. First Presbyterian Church reaches out to our community and beyond it through such activities as food pantry distributions, mission trips, and relationships with missionaries and charitable organizations.
      We are guided in our various activities by a board of elders who seek to do the Lord's will in leading our church.
